2018
Where Curiosity Began
It started in 8th grade when I was working part-time at a Xerox shop in Kilakarai, earning Rs. 2000 a month. My interest in computers grew when Noordeen, my “big brother,” gifted me a broken laptop. As I experimented with it, my fascination with technology deepened, setting me on a path to explore how computers could make a difference.
2019
Building Core Skills
After five months, I moved to Sharmila 4K Media, where I developed skills in graphic design, photography, and videography, taking on freelance design projects. This was my first step into the world of freelance work and real market experience.
2020
First Agency and Growing Knowledge
I joined Fixit Laptop and Mobile Services, gaining hands-on experience with repairs and electronics. Amid the COVID-19 lockdown, I founded my own graphic design agency, MI Designs (now MI DD Workshop). The downtime allowed me to expand my knowledge in marketing, networking, and even Tamil, planting the seeds for Gen2K.
2021
Learning Resilience in Fiber Networking
Working as a fiber network technician with Elegant Network Solutions, I gained experience in fiber technology, customer service, and negotiation. This role taught me resilience and the importance of relationship-building—skills that continue to shape my business approach.
2022
Rebranding and Going International
I rebranded my agency as MI Designs and Advertising, offering services like social media management and business development. Facing financial difficulties, I chose to focus on business growth, designing my own curriculum and setting up an office. This year laid the foundation for MI DD Workshop’s strategic expansion.
2023
Fostering a Tech Community
This year, I focused on Kilakarai’s tech community, mentoring and collaborating with local freelancers and students. My aim was to build a supportive tech culture, further establishing MI DD Workshop as a brand centered on collaboration and community.
2024
Official Launch and Expanding Gen2K
We officially registered MI DD Workshop and established Gen2K Conglomerate, now providing business development, tech support, and coaching. With our expanded services and skilled team, we’re committed to supporting local businesses and continuously innovating to meet evolving market needs.

I'm Mohamed Ibrahim,
I may have left school after 11th STD, but business has been my classroom since I was a kid (8th). I’m all about business, marketing, networking, design, development - basically, if it grows, connects, or makes life easier, I’m in. My career has been a nonstop learning curve, and yes, I still love being the “beginner” in the room. Why?
